Group Management Board
Robert F. Govaerts, B.A., LL.B., Chairman
Robert obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Guelph, Ontario in 1981 and his law degree at the University of Windsor, Ontario in 1984. He also studied international law at the Hague Academy of International Law in 1983. He was called to the bar as a Barrister of the Law Society of Upper Canada and a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ontario in 1986. He joined ATC in 1986, and held various positions in New York, the British Virgin Islands and the Cayman Islands; he joined the ATC Group Management Board in 1993. In 2001, he became its chairman; Robert is currently based in Curaçao.
Hans P. Sluyser, M.Sc., M.B.A.
Hans obtained a Masters in Architecture and Construction at the Technical University of Delft and his MBA from Erasmus University in Rotterdam, which included studying at the University of Western Ontario, where he specialised in international business and finance. Prior to joining ATC, he was employed by Holland Chemical International, working in Colombia, Panama and Chile. He joined ATC in 1989, first in New York and subsequently in Curaçao. He joined the ATC Group Management Board in 1993, and is currently based in Singapore.
Johan Lont, LL.M.
Johan obtained a Masters Degree in Tax Law from the University of Amsterdam in 1987. He commenced his career as a tax advisor with Ernst & Young. In 1989, he joined Rabobank’s tax department and, in 1996, he was promoted to Managing Director of Rabobank Trust Company N.V. with responsibility for all trust activities of Rabobank Nederland. In 2000, he became a member of the international management team of the Private Banking & Trust Division of Rabobank Nederland. In 2003, he joined ATC and became a member of the Group Management Board in 2005; Johan is currently based in Amsterdam.
