Supervisory Board
Harry J. Baeten, Chairman
Harry studied law at the University of Tilburg. He commenced his career in banking with the Amsterdamsche Bank N.V. (currently ABN Amro Bank) in 1963 and progressed to Chairman of the Board of F. van Lanschot Bankiers N.V., a position he retired from in May 2004. He continues his association with F. van Lanschot Bankiers N.V. as chairman of its pension fund. In addition, Harry also holds a number of other positions, including being a member of the advisory board of the Faculty of Law of the University of Tilburg and being a member of the board of Schroderfonds. He was appointed a member of the board in 2004. He succeeded the retiring Dr. Dick Juch as chairman of the board in 2007.
Andrew Moon
Andrew is a graduate of Cambridge University and is an attorney-at-law in the Cayman Islands and a solicitor in England. In January 1986 Andrew joined Maples and Calder in the Cayman Islands. He was made a Partner in 1988, a member of the firm’s Management Committee in 1994 and Managing Partner in 1999. During the period from 1994 to 2004 as well as being a Managing Partner, Andrew was Head of the Capital Markets Department advising on a wide range of complex capital markets and other transactions including IPOs, asset and project finance and corporate matters. Andrew retired from Maples and Calder in December 2004 to pursue personal interests and projects including sailing and adventure. He completed a world record crossing of Antarctica to the South Pole in 2005. He is involved with and supportive of a number of community and sporting projects in the Cayman Islands and has competed for the Cayman Islands in international sailing competitions. He joined the ATC Supervisory Board in 2009.
Teo Ping
Teo Ping has more than 40 years of experience in global banking, having worked in Singapore, Jakarta, New York and Hong Kong. His last position prior to his retirement in 2001 was as Managing Director of Swiss bank, UBS AG, heading its Private Banking Division for South Asia. Prior to that he worked for Citibank and Merril Lynch. He returned from retirement in 2002 when he was appointed as Senior Advisor to Citi’s Global Wealth Management Group in Asia-Pacific and the Middle East, a position he held until 2008. In addition to his international banking career, Teo Ping has international sporting experience having played rugby for Singapore’s national team, as well as competing in numerous sailing competitions in Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Hong Kong and Japan. In recognition of his contribution to sports development and management in Singapore, Teo Ping was awarded the 2006 National Day PBM Award by the President of Singapore. He is currently the Vice-President of the International Sailing Federation, Vice President of the Singapore National Olympic Council and President of both the Singapore Sailing Federation and the Singapore Rugby Union. Teo joined the ATC Supervisory Board in 2010.
